Well structured consultation can save you money and stress....

Many clients start with a fairly vague idea of what they want to achieve with a building project. We find that important details come out of the briefing process that the client had not given any serious consideration. The views of the client within a proposed project are the cornerstone to determining and defining the overall requirements of the project.

As the briefing begins to tease out the detailed requirements of the project our experienced staff will advise you of the advantages and disadvantages of each specific idea you have in mind. The clear objective for our staff is to ensure you get as close as possible to your ideal but at the same ensuring it fits within the acceptable tolerances of all of the relevant government agencies involved in the process.

Briefing Quality relates to end results of your project

Once you make a decision to proceed most clients, quite naturally, want to get things underway. However, it is important to confirm as much detail as possible as, in some instances, partway through the project, a lack of clarity can cause serious delays and stresses. Hidden costs can also occur which can throw the existing plans into a state of upheaval.

There is a definite correlation between the depth and comprehensive nature of early briefings and the final outcome in terms of satisfaction with the final results as well as the positive impact on time and costs.

For more information about how we can help you steer through the issues please call me on 020 8644 3263 or email me on gill email.

Client Motivation

The consultations should include a clear indication of the clients motivations and expectations, besides the broader objective of the project. Beginning a project without an understanding of client motivations can lead to many misconceptions about the project direction.

If expectations are not discussed early in the project parties may find that they are unachievable and this can lead to a negative nature developing within the project. Ultimately, as far as you the client are concerned the project will ultimately have failed to meet your objectives.

Design Direction

Within client expectations the Architect needs to be fully aware of how you see the design direction of the project whilst at the same time providing extensive knowledge in order to arrive at a workable solution. Some clients may have over ambitious plans that are not achievable due to planning restrictions. Our staff will guide you through the planning process in order to achieve the optimum results.
