There are four key aspects to our services that, in total, make us different to other Architectural Practices.
- A team with extensive knowledge across all relevant areas
- Comprehensive skills relating to Planning Permission
- Time & Budgetary Considerations for the whole project
- Competitively priced services
You will be surprised to find that many Architectural Practices that deal with domestic work do not always have these elements available to them. Many practices are comprised of a single individual and whilst they can sometimes undercut the charges of more established organisations they are only one person are not normally able to provide the depth of services a team can offer.
At the end of the day where all of the elements have to be dealt with appropriately it is easy, in this increasingly complex world, to make a mistake without checks and balances that a team provides.

Building projects are complex affairs. The fact is there are many dependencies that impact different areas of the project. Experience allows us to help you successfully steer through the rollout by anticipating many potential issues and managing them before they become a cause for concern. In addition, if something unforseen happens you would want to know that our team is capable of minimising these potential areas of conflict, and this is exactly what we can do to obtain the best possible outcome for you.
As well as Linic, the Architectural Practice, we also have a sister organisation in the Quantity Surveying area which means that we can assist larger projects with cost control and even full blown project management. This area of our business has also produced reports to a professional level that has assisted Banks to release relevant funds for the building project.
This core skill is not available from many Architectural Practices and offers you a method of controlling the effectiveness of the construction team by providing value for money checks and balances.
Besides larger projects the Quantity Surveying skills can assist smaller projects with useful advice as the construction phase is reached.

Planning is a major area where building projects fail. They can become tangled in time consuming paperwork and complex legal, environmental and local issues. Many excellent projects have fallen foul during the planning process due, in part, to some fairly simple aspects, that, if handled effectively, would have produced a positive outcome. We have knowledge of all key aspects of the planning area, inlcuding:
- Liaising with Planners across England and Wales
- Understanding how planners work and the latest legislation
- Planning Applications - planning permission page
- Planning Appeals - Planning Refusal Page
- Expert Witness experience
- A leading UK supplier of Design & Access Statements to accepted business standards such as CABE - DAS Experts Page
- Party Wall expertise
As you can see, working with Linic will ensure that all key areas are covered and all within a single practice.
During the building phase for a reasonably sized project we would be able to assist you by liaising with the various experts in order to ensure that the project has a better chance of staying within budget and timescales. Any deviation from the plan can be expensive to you and if you have been developing the plot as an investment and have used loan finance any delays could be very expensive.
Delays due to a mismatch of terminology between the various parties, especially if one or more of these parties has not worked in the construction industry, can cause a range of problems. Objectives can become blurred and misunderstandings can lead to an increasing level of complexity within the project, increasing your costs considerably.
We are able to provide a competitively priced series of services. Bear in mind we are able to provide good value for money and 'peace of mind' with the comprehensive support framework.
